All agreements for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan with the participation of Rosatom include sanction clauses that exclude risks for the republic. This was announced by the head of the Atomic Energy Agency of Kazakhstan, Almasadam Satkaliyev.
The agency monitors possible sanction risks for counterparties and provides legal protection mechanisms in advance. According to him, such clauses completely exempt Kazakhstan from the consequences of possible restrictions.
Satkaliyev emphasized that Rosatom as a whole does not fall under international sanctions, with the exception of certain subsidiaries. All companies with which Kazakhstan cooperates operate within the framework of international trade rules and have no restrictions.
