AvtoVAZ continues to prepare for the production of the new Lada Azimut crossover. Recently, a patent for the model's rear bumper was registered in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), which confirms the proximity of the serial production.
Lada Azimut will be the company's first crossover and is being created on a redesigned Lada Vesta platform. Almost a thousand new and modernized components have been developed for the new product - from body panels and lighting equipment to interior elements and a new rear suspension. This will allow the car to meet modern standards of comfort, safety and ergonomics.
Under the hood, the crossover will be powered by upgraded VAZ engines with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters with a capacity of 120 and 132 hp, available with a manual gearbox and a variator. In the future, it is planned to release a version with a 150-horsepower turbo engine and a classic "automatic". The dimensions of the car will be 4416 x 1838 x 1607 mm, and the wheelbase is 2675 mm, which will provide a spacious interior and comfortable passenger seating.
The launch of Lada Azimut on the market is expected in 2026. The new crossover will allow AvtoVAZ to expand its model range and offer customers a modern and technological car that meets international trends in the compact SUV segment.
