AvtoVAZ has begun preparations for state certification tests of the new Lada Azimut crossover, the automaker's press service reported.
AvtoVAZ has started work on preparing the Lada Azimut for state certification tests. Following their results, the new model will receive a "Vehicle Type Approval" and the right to be sold in the Russian Federation.
As part of the certification, the car will be subjected to a series of tests covering dozens of strict standards for safety, environmental impact, and ergonomics. The process is expected to last until the spring of 2026, which will allow for a comprehensive assessment of the behavior of cars in various weather and temperature conditions.
The automaker's press service also reported that the first batch of 16 Lada Azimut cars will be assembled on the main assembly line within 1.5 months, with the first five cars already manufactured. They will be sent for certification tests, including tests of braking systems and other units.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the first pink BelAZ-75131 mining dump truck appeared in Sakhalin.
