The domestic brand Lada became the most popular brand in online sales of new cars in the first nine months of 2025. This is stated in a study by Sber.
According to the analysis, 11% of all new cars sold through the SberAuto platform were Lada cars. Kia is in second place with a share of 9%, and Hyundai closes the top three (7.5%). The top five most popular brands also include Toyota (7%) and Volkswagen (6%). Next are Nissan (5%), as well as Honda, Ford, BMW and Skoda, each of which accounted for 4% of the online sales market.
The most popular models were Lada Granta, Vesta and Niva, as well as Kia Rio, Ceed and Sportage. Hyundai's leaders were Solaris, Creta and Elantra, while Toyota's were Camry, Corolla and RAV4. In the segment of used cars, Russians most often chose Kia Rio, Hyundai Solaris and Lada Vesta, remaining loyal to proven models.
The average cost of a used car for the three quarters of 2025 remained at the level of 1 million rubles. A new car cost buyers an average of 1.65 million rubles. According to SberStrakhovanie, Russians took out 49,000 casco policies during this period, 21% more than a year earlier. Most often, insurance was taken out by owners of Lada cars (10% of all contracts). Among Chinese brands, Haval and Chery were in the top (8% each), Geely and Changan (7% each).
