At the Kapustin Yar training ground, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev personally observed the testing of promising weapons. He was shown the new 300-mm Sarma multiple launch rocket system based on the armored KAMAZ-63501 chassis, the 152-mm Malva wheeled self-propelled artillery unit, the GShG-7.62 multi-barrel machine gun on a machine, the V2U kamikaze drone, and several stationary anti-aircraft gun and anti-aircraft machine gun systems.
The Malva wheeled self-propelled gun is a mobile 152-mm artillery system adapted to the modern realities of field operations. It combines the firepower of a classic howitzer with high maneuverability and rapid redeployment. Similar wheeled solutions are used worldwide for accelerated deployment and reduced maintenance costs.
Sarma MLRS was previously presented in the exposition of "Motovilikhinskiye Zavody" during the recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the enterprise. The vehicle is made on an eight-wheeled KAMAZ-63501 chassis with an armored cabin and is designed for the use of 300-mm shells. The presence of a wheeled armored chassis simplifies logistics and increases mobility compared to heavy tracked platforms.
GShG-7.62 is a multi-barrel, rapid-firing machine gun with a rotating block of barrels and a high rate of fire, designed to engage both ground targets and light aircraft. Its installation on a machine makes the system effective for perimeter security, covering important objects, and integration into anti-aircraft solutions.
V2U Kamikaze Drone is a new generation loitering munition with elements of autonomy and target recognition algorithms. Such UAVs allow for pinpoint strikes on vulnerable objects and simultaneously create a threat to infrastructure and air defense groupings, which makes the development of countermeasures to these drones a priority task for the defense industry.
