In September 2025, nine criminals who had been deceiving citizens through messengers for a long time were detained thanks to the joint work of the Max platform security center and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the platform's press service reported.
The fraudsters operated in different cities of the country and were engaged in the theft of funds. Work is currently underway to return the stolen funds.
Last month, the Max security center blocked 105,000 suspicious accounts and removed more than 350,000 malicious files. Messenger users sent 68,000 complaints via the "Complain" button, with an average processing time of four minutes.
The Max platform was launched by VK in March in beta. Through it, users can communicate in the messenger, make calls, send voice messages and files up to four gigabytes in size. The application is available in the App Store, RuStore and Google Play.
