A frame has appeared online directly from the cockpit of a Russian Su-35S generation "4++" aircraft. Apparently, the combat aircraft have been equipped with advanced R-74M missiles.
It is known from open sources that the missile uses a new all-aspect infrared homing head with increased noise immunity and a wider target acquisition angle (up to ±75°). The missile allows the pilot to engage targets far beyond line of sight.
The R-74M is also equipped with a gas-dynamic control system. This makes it extremely maneuverable and allows it to engage actively maneuvering targets in close combat.
Compared to its predecessor, the R-73, the maximum launch range of the R-74M has been increased to 40 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the fiber-optic FPV drone "Zanoza" developed by the "Groza" project hits 80% of targets.
