There are reports that Geran-2 kamikaze drones have received a new modification of the warhead, equipped with a liquid incendiary mixture.
An additional tank designed for the incendiary mixture is installed in the front (nose) of the drone. Its design is identical to the fuel tank used in the Gerber UAV. The weight of the warhead is 90 kilograms.
Placing the incendiary mixture in the nose of the aircraft ensures its effective spraying directly in front of the target, which significantly increases the affected area. The mixture ignition system is triggered remotely, initiating a controlled explosion followed by the spread of flame. This design allows significant damage to both lightly armored vehicles and enemy personnel located in open areas or in field-type shelters.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Geran-2 drones began to be equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead that detonates in the air.
