The tugboat "Favor" of project NE025, built at the "Okskaya Sudoverf" according to the "Nordic Engineering" project for the Marine Rescue Service, has completed the sea trials program in the waters of the Gorky Reservoir. According to the shipyard, all systems of the vessel have been comprehensively tested, including the main and auxiliary power plants, steering gear, navigation and radio equipment.
The tests showed that "Favor" fully meets the stated characteristics, including the operation of the rescue boat at speeds up to 5 knots.
Life support systems have also been tested: electrical networks, lighting and galley equipment are functioning normally. According to the senior builder of the project, Ivan Bandin, the test program is completely closed, and the vessel is ready for operation.
The tugboat "Favor" is part of a series of five marine fire-fighting rescue tugs of project NE025. The keel-laying of these vessels at the "Okskaya Sudoverf" took place in December 2021, and the launching ceremony of "Favor" took place on August 31, 2023. Two tugs will be assigned to the port of Murmansk, two to the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and "Favor" is registered in Arkhangelsk for operation in the Arkhangelsk division of the Baltic Branch of the Marine Rescue Service.
The technical characteristics of "Favor" include a gross tonnage of 388 tons, a displacement of 482 tons, a length of 29.6 m, a width of 9.5 m, a board height of 3.3 m and a draft of 2.4 m. The carrying capacity of the vessel is 388 tons.
