Thousands of banks and stores participate in "Coin Week": Russians will be able to exchange small change for banknotes

The campaign is supported by the Bank of Russia

The "Coin Week" has started in Russia: from September 22 to October 4, residents of the country will be able to exchange accumulated coins for paper banknotes. The campaign is supported by the Bank of Russia and covers banks and stores that have joined the initiative.

The exchange is carried out in bank branches and some retail outlets. Small change can be credited directly to the client's account. A complete list of participants and exchange conditions are published on the official website of the project.

In total, about 15,000 retail outlets and 4,000 bank branches in 3,000 settlements participate in the campaign.

"Coin Week" is held regularly. In April 2025, Russians returned more than 51 million coins worth 242 million rubles to circulation. A similar campaign in May–June 2024 made it possible to collect more than 31 million coins for 135 million rubles, which amounted to about 138 tons of small change.
