In the near future, the "Gosdoki" service on the "Gosuslugi" portal will have the ability to generate a QR code. It can be presented along with a paper passport. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
At the first stage, the QR code can be used in stores when purchasing goods with age restrictions (18+), when passing to events with age restrictions in cinemas or museums, for entering office centers with an access control system, as well as when sending or receiving parcels and registered letters.
In subsequent stages, it is planned to expand the use of the QR code in financial market organizations, for obtaining certain public services in multifunctional centers (MFCs), as well as in mobile operator stores, private medical organizations and when checking into hotels. The possibilities of application will be expanded in stages in accordance with the terms established by the government of the Russian Federation and as organizations connect to the "Gosdoki" service. At the same time, the QR code can only be presented in those organizations that are connected to the service.
Only the necessary data will be displayed during verification. For example, a ticket taker in a cinema will only see a photo and information about age.
