The Arbitration Court of the Novosibirsk Region will recover approximately 975 thousand rubles from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) for damage to the Kamenka River during the discharge of wastewater.
The Siberian Department of Rosprirodnadzor filed a lawsuit against the Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant in November 2023.
The amount of the claims initially amounted to 1.1 million rubles, but the court satisfied the claim for only 136 thousand rubles.
UAC compensated for the damage in this amount. Subsequently, the appeal left the court decision unchanged, but the cassation sent the case for a new trial. As a result, the court agreed with the claims of the department and decided to recover the remainder of the amount for the damage caused.
The Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant produces Su-34 fighter-bombers and also participates in the production of components for fifth-generation fighters and the S-70 "Okhotnik" unmanned aerial vehicle project. In addition, the plant participates in the modernization of Su-24M aircraft.
Earlier www1.ru reported that MiG-31BM interceptors were used in tandem with Tu-22M3 bombers.
