The lineup of "Sobol Business" light commercial vehicles has been reduced. The GAZ plant no longer produces versions with a lowered roof and a lifting tailgate. Dealers are currently selling off the last batches of these vehicles, according to the Telegram channel "Avtopotok."
This refers to the basic modification of the GAZ-2217 "Barguzin," which has been mass-produced since 1999. The height of the rear-wheel-drive version was 2100 mm, and the all-wheel-drive GAZ-22177 was 2200 mm.
Now, only all-metal vans and wagons with a standard roof and swing-out tailgate remain in production. Their height reaches 2200 mm for 2WD and 2300 mm for all-wheel-drive vehicles.
The company explains the discontinuation by the low demand for the "Sobol" in this configuration. At the same time, standard modifications continue to be in demand among small businesses and government customers, where vehicles with greater capacity are needed.
