The former CEO of Red Wings airline and Zhukovsky airport, Evgeny Solodilin, has begun negotiations to acquire the Volga-Dnepr group of companies.
Evraz Avia Service LLC (part of EAS Group), which belongs to him, has signed a preliminary agreement with Volga-Dnepr, according to which all three airlines of the group will be transferred to the buyer - Volga-Dnepr, Volga-Dnepr Engineering and Volga-Dnepr Technics.
EAS Group confirmed plans to purchase, but the amount of the transaction remained a trade secret.
Until 2022, the Volga-Dnepr group was one of the largest in the global market for air transportation of oversized and super-heavy cargo. However, after that, it fell under restrictions from a number of countries, including the USA.
In August, the founder of the group, Alexey Isaikin, informed employees about the likely transfer of the business to the state. According to open sources, Volga-Dnepr currently retains certificates of airworthiness for three An-124-100 Ruslan and five Il-76.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia will invest 765 billion rubles in the project "Production of airplanes and helicopters".
