Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) is preparing to launch the production of a passenger car under the famous "Volga" brand. The car will roll off the assembly line in the spring of 2026, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
Colleagues from GAZ have repeatedly announced and renegotiated partnerships with various colleagues. As I have been informed, they expect to begin the first stages of assembly and production by the spring of next year.
The cars will be produced in the Nizhny Novgorod automotive cluster. They will be assembled by the company "Passenger Car Production," which leases production space from GAZ. Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov predicts that about 100,000 new "Volgas" are planned to be produced per year.
