Отечественный Solaris обогнал по продажам Omoda и Exeed

The Solaris automotive brand (produced in St. Petersburg) outperformed popular Chinese brands Omoda (imported from China, model C7 assembled in Kaliningrad) and Exeed (some cars assembled in the Moscow region) in August. In August 2025, 3,668 Solaris cars were sold, and from the beginning of the year to August, total sales amounted to 17,474 units.

The brand's result exceeds the figures for the same period last year by 123%, according to Sergey Tselikov, head of the Avtostat agency. However, it is worth noting that from January to February 2024, Solaris sales were suspended, and the brand returned to the market only in March.

Popular models and their market shares

The most popular model is the Solaris HS, also known as the Hyundai Solaris, which accounts for 48.5% of total sales. In second place is the Solaris HC (ex-Creta) with a share of 22.8%. The KRS (Kia Rio) and KRX (Kia Rio X) models have almost equal shares — 14% each.

Since the start of sales in March 2024, 32,000 Solaris cars have been sold. This year, there has been almost continuous growth in sales, with the exception of May, which was the quietest month for the car market. In January, Russians purchased 1,292 Solaris cars, and in August this figure rose to 3,668.

According to Tselikov, demand for Solaris has already exceeded interest in Chinese brands such as Omoda, GAC, Exeed, and Jaecoo. In the overall sales ranking in August, Solaris took eighth place.

In addition, there is a growing interest in the new brand Belgee, which offers Geely cars assembled in Belarus. At the end of the first week of September, the Belgee X50 crossover (pre-styling Geely Coolray) became the leader among foreign cars for the first time, surpassing the Haval Jolion.

Thus, Solaris continues to strengthen its position in the Russian market, demonstrating impressive results and attracting the attention of buyers.
