Владимир Путин и Сергей Собянин ко Дню города Москвы открыли новые станции Троицкой линии метро

The line consists of 11 stations and 27 km of track

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin held a ceremony to open train traffic between the "Novatorskaya" and "ZIL" stations on the Troitskaya metro line in honor of Moscow City Day. The event was held in video conference format, as Putin and Sobyanin were at the National Space Center.

Today, we are launching the first stage of the Troitskaya metro line. This is 27 kilometers, 11 stations. We already launched some of the stations last year, and now there are four stations that will connect the section from the Big Circle Line to the MCC — from "Novatorskaya" to "ZIL" almost in the city center.

Troitskaya Line

The line consists of 11 stations — from "ZIL" in the Danilovsky district to "Novomoskovskaya" in Kommunarka, including four stations that opened today: "Vavilovskaya", "Akademicheskaya", "Krymskaya", and "ZIL".

The "ZIL" station is located at the intersection of Likhachev Avenue and Lisitsky Street — near the Tyufeleva Roshcha park and the MCC platform of the same name. It is located in the center of a rapidly developing cluster on the site of the former I.A. Likhachev plant. From the "ZIL" station, you can transfer to the MCC, and in the future, it is planned to make a transfer to the Biryulevskaya line.

The "Vavilovskaya" station is located along Leninsky Prospekt at the intersection with Stroiteley and Panferova streets. It is shallow, with two underground lobbies and exits on both sides of Leninsky Prospekt.

The "Akademicheskaya" station is located under Dmitry Ulyanov Street, at the intersection with Profsoyuznaya Street and 60th Anniversary of October Avenue. From this station, you can transfer to the station with the same name on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line.

The "Krymskaya" station is located between the tracks of the Moscow Central Circle and the residential quarter of the Donskoy district. From it, you can transfer to the MCC.

The creation of the Troitskaya line has improved transport accessibility for more than a million Muscovites. For many of them, the duration of trips to the city center has been reduced by 10–15 minutes or more. For example, the travel time from the "Novatorskaya" station of the Big Circle Line to the MCC has decreased from 21 minutes to nine minutes.
