The Russian Su-35 fighter stands out for a frightening Western feature, said Harry J. Kazianis, a journalist for the National Security Journal (NSJ). He recalled that in the West, the Su-35 is usually criticized for its allegedly insufficient stealth. However, it would be a big mistake for the United States to underestimate this aircraft.
Kazianis stated that the Russian machine is an excellent reminder that in the harsh conditions of aerial combat, maneuverability and brute force can be decisive factors.
The most frightening feature of the Su-35 is its almost supernatural maneuverability. Despite the huge mass of the aircraft, it is capable of performing aerial maneuvers that seem to defy the laws of physics.

The Su-35 owes its maneuverability to AL-41F1S engines. Each of them is capable of developing thrust of more than 14,000 kgf in afterburner. However, the real "magic" lies in three-dimensional nozzles with controlled thrust vector.
They are capable of moving independently of each other, directing the enormous engine thrust in any direction, not just backwards. This gives the pilot incredible control over the position of the aircraft in space, the journalist emphasized.
