Aurora Airlines Seeks 100% State Funding for MC-21, SJ-100, and Il-114-300 Deliveries

Carrier CEO Sukhorebrik: The Central Bank's key rate for ordering new aircraft is quite high

Far Eastern airline Aurora expects the government to fully finance the supply of new Russian aircraft for it. This was stated by the carrier's CEO, Konstantin Sukhorebrik.

He noted that interest rates on loans in banks are quite high, so the only source of funds for Aurora remains the National Welfare Fund.

Let's be realistic. Interest rates in banks are quite high, considering all the specifics. To say that we will now earn money on regional social transportation and invest in these programs would probably be a mistake.
Konstantin Sukhorebrik, CEO of Aurora

According to him, the airline currently does not have working capital to order new aircraft.

So the government is now closely involved in financing the construction of new aircraft, right at the highest level. It certainly cannot be placed on the shoulders of carriers, especially regional ones.
Konstantin Sukhorebrik, CEO of Aurora

Aurora has agreed to supply three Il-114-300 aircraft, 15 MC-21 units, two SJ-100s, and 95 LMS-901 Baikal aircraft.

According to the latest data, the production of Baikals, Il-114-300s, and import-substituted SJ-100s and MC-21s is expected from 2026.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Il-114-300 will increase resource and reliability thanks to new developments.
