NAMI Innovative Components LLC, a subsidiary of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation FSUE "NAMI", has developed an active safety system for UAZ vehicles. This technology will be available for UAZ Patriot, UAZ Pickup, and UAZ Profi models.
The NAMI-ABS-450 system is designed for SUVs and light commercial vehicles with a maximum weight of up to 4.5 tons. It prevents wheel lockup during emergency braking and eliminates the risk of skidding on roads with uneven surfaces.
The system analyzes data from wheel speed sensors in real time and, using advanced algorithms, regulates the pressure in each brake circuit so that the wheels do not lock and the vehicle remains controllable.
Specialists from FSUE "NAMI" and Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant have developed and implemented a unit that has undergone thorough calibration, software adaptation, and a series of tests. Tests were conducted throughout the year on surfaces with different coefficients of adhesion, as well as under heterogeneous friction conditions, when the coefficients of adhesion of the right and left wheels differed.
