A Major Order Placed for 100 New MC-21, SJ-100, Il-114, and "Baikal" Aircraft

The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East expects the delivery of aircraft for the airline "Aurora" by 2030

The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East expects the delivery of over 100 aircraft for the Far Eastern airline "Aurora" by 2030, according to the head of the ministry, Alexey Chekunkov.

MC-21-310 and SJ-100

According to him, the carrier's strategy is based on the use of Russian aviation technology — MC-21-310, Superjet-100, Il-114-300, and LMS-901 "Baikal."

There are agreements for the delivery of over 100 aircraft. The entire development strategy of the company until 2030 is built on this. We hope that the industry will not let us down in this regard.
Alexey Chekunkov, Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East

Chekunkov stated that, compared to the Soviet period, the intensity of air transportation has decreased by 10 times or more in some regions. In market conditions, it is currently difficult to ensure such aviation intensity.

But it is possible to significantly increase, especially on popular routes. We did this by creating a unified Far Eastern airline "Aurora" and significantly expanding the route network.
Alexey Chekunkov, Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East

The Head of the Russian Government, Mikhail Mishustin, noted that the MC-21 and "Baikal" should be ready for mass production no later than the end of 2026.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that 14 SSJ-100 aircraft were found to have defects in the fuselage design.
