Experts in the transport industry supported the bill on the mandatory installation of air conditioners and heaters in buses with a capacity of 22 or more passengers, submitted to the State Duma by Dmitry Gusev, First Deputy Chairman of the Control Committee.
The initiative was prepared after inspections of the operation of air conditioning systems in public transport.
According to Gusev, the bill was supported by "Rossoyuzholodprom", which proposed including a requirement to use domestic climate systems.
Experts note that fixing microclimate parameters in the minimum configuration of buses will increase the comfort and safety of passengers, especially in regions with abnormal temperatures, and at the same time will contribute to the development of domestic industry.
