The new Russian frigate "Admiral Amelko" of Project 22350, launched on August 14, is a universal soldier and a "marine terminator." Military expert Alexander Stepanov of the Institute of Law and National Security of the RANEPA spoke about the advantages of the ship.
According to him, the frigate of Project 22350 is equipped with 24 cells of universal shipborne firing complexes (UKSK) designed for hypersonic anti-ship missiles 3M22 "Zircon" with a flight range of 400 to 1.5 thousand km.
This is a marine terminator, a universal soldier who can act as a hunter for enemy nuclear submarines from a safe distance for himself.
According to Stepanov, "Admiral Amelko" also received an advanced anti-submarine complex "Response", which allows destroying submarines if they are detected outside the range of their onboard systems. The complex uses a 91RE2 ballistic missile, delivering a 324-mm MPT-1UM torpedo to a range of up to 40 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Iskander OTRK crews received improved missiles invulnerable to American Patriots.
