Мошенники обманывают пенсионеров под видом специалистов по цифровому ТВ

The scheme starts with a call, after which they switch to a "Roskomnadzor specialist"

Scammers have started calling pensioners, posing as employees of digital television replacement services, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. The attackers demand to name the code from the SMS under the pretext of updating the television network.

After that, a fake "Roskomnadzor specialist" contacts the victim. He claims that the account on "Gosuslugi" was allegedly hacked and a power of attorney was issued to dispose of bank accounts.

For plausibility, the fraudsters name the amounts and banks where the victims have accounts. Then they convince them to transfer money to "new cards", which actually belong to the scammers.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the Irkutsk region, a 73-year-old woman has already been deceived according to this scheme, who transferred more than 1.1 million rubles to criminals.
