Scammers have started deceiving Russians by offering to install applications to expedite doctor appointments. According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, fraudsters most often contact victims through messengers.
They introduce themselves with a first name and patronymic, inquire about how long it takes to get a doctor's appointment, and listen to complaints. Then, they offer to install a special application to view available appointment slots, promising to speed up the process.
In reality, the downloaded file turns out to be a remote access program, allowing attackers to steal money from online banks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly recommends not downloading suspicious applications and not sharing financial information with strangers.
