The Chechen plant "Argunspetsmash" has started assembling fire tankers ATs 8.0 (6302) and ATs 5.0 (5309) on MAZ chassis with special settings from the Belarusian enterprise "POZSnab". The special equipment has been included in the Register of Russian Industrial Products, according to the MAZ press service.
The initiative to create a Belarusian-Chechen project appeared in 2024. In February 2025, representatives of "Argunspetsmash" were trained at production sites in Minsk and Borisov.
In April, the first samples of fire trucks assembled in the city of Argun using a significant list of Belarusian-made components were sent for testing and certification.
The ATs 5.0 tanker was built on the basis of a two-axle all-wheel drive chassis MAZ-5309. The vehicle received a 5000 liter tank, all-wheel drive and single-tire "track in track" (one wheel per axle).
The base for ATs 8.0 is the MAZ-6302 chassis, which has increased cross-country ability. The 8000 liter tanker can be used on soils with low bearing capacity.
