The total market volume of online cinemas reached 73.6 billion rubles

In the first half of 2025, online cinemas significantly increased the cost of their subscriptions. Prices rose from 17% to 50%, depending on the service. Despite this, revenues from content licensing and joint projects decreased by 11%.

According to a study by Telecom Daily, most online cinemas have raised prices. For example, Kinopoisk increased the cost to 399 rubles per month (+33%), and Okko - to 299 rubles (+50%). The total market volume of online cinemas reached 73.6 billion rubles, which is 45% more compared to last year. The main part of the income came from paid subscriptions - 70.7 billion rubles.

The licensing and partnership segment amounted to 10.2 billion rubles, which is 11% less than last year. The leaders in this segment were Kinopoisk (29.3%) and Ivi (27.8%).

Some services, such as Kinopoisk, offer additional options for subscribers, which allows them to maintain the same subscription cost. Wink notes an increase in revenue from original content, due to the popularity of new projects.
