Comprehensive projects are being implemented at the Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU), in which medical professionals, engineers, mathematicians, 3D modelers and IT specialists are working together to create innovative implants.
The university is actively introducing advanced technologies into medicine, attracting specialists from various fields. For example, 3D implants are being created through joint efforts, including adapted bone substitutes that take root well in the body. The university is integrating this area into the field of high-tech materials science.
Special attention is paid to a personalized approach to each patient. Using computed tomography data and other visualization methods, engineers and doctors work together to create implant models that are ideally suited for a specific case. This can significantly increase the effectiveness of treatment and reduce the risk of complications.
The university is actively using the potential of the additive technology laboratory at the Interuniversity Campus. In addition to creating innovative implants, the university continues to produce intraocular lenses, successfully integrating medical and engineering approaches.
