Further Away from JAC: Production of Domestic Frames for Sollers Pickups Launched at Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant

In-house frames will reduce logistics costs and supply risks

Sollers Group has launched the production of frames for its ST6 and ST8 pickups at the facilities of its subsidiary, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant – UAZ-Shtampovochnoye Proizvodstvo LLC. The first pilot batch has already been produced. The designed capacity of the line is up to 10,500 frames per year.

The production line is equipped with modern equipment: welding jigs, a stand for hydraulic punching of suspension holes, and an automated straightening stand, which completely eliminates manual labor and ensures the accuracy of frame geometry. The total investment in the project amounted to 200 million rubles.

Sollers notes that its own frame production will ensure stable maintenance of vehicle quality, increase production flexibility, and reduce logistics costs and risks associated with external supplies.
