On Lake Baikal, as part of their daily activities, interdepartmental groups identify ship operators who commit violations. To optimize the process and expand the control zone, unmanned aircraft are used, which allows for the rapid detection and documentation of violations in large areas.
During the navigation period on Lake Baikal, 150 cases of bringing to administrative responsibility were recorded. The largest number of violations is associated with the operation of small vessels without the necessary rescue equipment, in particular, life jackets.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reminds about the rules for obtaining a certificate for operating a small vessel: a prerequisite is the successful passing of the exam in the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels. Preparation for it can be carried out both in the format of self-study, and by taking specialized courses in schools of ship operators.
