The state-owned company Lesta Games is considering resuming negotiations to acquire the "World of War: Siberia" project from 1CGame Studios. The transition of creative producer Albert Zhiltsov and his team to Lesta is also being discussed. The project is estimated to be worth $30 million, of which $10 million has already been invested in development.
According to experts, such a deal would strengthen Lesta's position in the market and expand its product portfolio. The "World of War" team, in turn, will be able to attract additional investment and gain access to state resources.
Previously, Lesta Games was transferred to state ownership and, since July 1, has been managed by a new structure called "IT Technologies," which also includes Lesta Games Moscow and Lesta Games Agency. This occurred after the Prosecutor General's Office's lawsuit to transfer the company—the developer of "World of Tanks"—to state ownership was satisfied.
