Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has started assembling cars in Cuba. The first batch of Patriot SUVs has already been handed over to the state customer.
In the near future, deliveries of UAZ Pickup will begin in Cuba. Assembly of pickups started in April 2025. By September, the plant plans to produce up to 500 cars per year.
The cars are adapted to the climate and road conditions of Cuba, which makes them more attractive to the local market. The project opens up new opportunities for UAZ exports to Latin America and strengthens the position of the Russian automotive industry abroad.
