Will Allow Replacing Foreign Analogs: Serial Production of Domestic Pyrotechnic Igniters for Drones Launched in Rostec

The igniters allow drones to drop payloads

Rostec has launched serial production of domestic pyrotechnic igniters for use in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported by the state corporation's press service.

The device includes a special film with the effect of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, which provides instantaneous heating to over 1000°C. In drones, igniters activate disconnects of retaining devices for dropping payloads.

Igniters can be used not only in UAVs, but also in microsatellites for electrical activation of pyrotechnic compositions, which allows creating the release of energetic gases in orbit correction devices. They are also used in the mining industry, where they are used to activate pyrotechnic charges during the extraction of minerals.

This domestic development will allow replacing foreign analogs. Igniters are already in high demand on the Russian market. To increase production volumes, the company has modernized its production.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the production of batteries for drones was established in St. Petersburg.
