Specialists from the Izhevsk "Kupol" plant have made 60 improvements to the radio equipment and 25 improvements to the tracked vehicle of the "Tor" anti-aircraft missile system family. This was announced by the General Director of the enterprise, Fanil Ziyatdinov.
According to him, additional armor protection is serially produced and installed, and an individual electronic warfare system has been developed for the "Tor".
At the same time, combat statistics confirmed the effectiveness of our "Tor" SAM systems when working on all types of targets. Not the calculated, but the real coefficient of their effectiveness is 0.9. Professionals do not need to explain how high this indicator is.
Ziyatdinov emphasized that the success of the "Tor" on land has led to a request to expand the scope of application of the complexes. The systems are becoming object-oriented, that is, they are used to protect strategically important, including industrial, facilities.
Earlier www1.ru reported that MiG-31 fighters used hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles for the second time in three days.
