The Atom electric car will be affordable for most Russians. This was stated by Alexander Bukhvalov, Director of the Electromobility Business Line of TVEL JSC (the management company of the Rosatom Fuel Division), on the sidelines of the Innoprom industrial exhibition, which is taking place in Yekaterinburg.
The official price has not yet been announced, but we assume that the "Atom" car will be in the price category that most residents will be able to buy.
Bukhvalov added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is considering the possibility of introducing support measures to stimulate demand for "Atom" and other electric vehicles. The top manager expressed hope that this will make the first Russian mass-produced electric car accessible to the population.
The development of "Atom" has been underway since 2021. In the spring of 2023, the first functional prototype was presented to the public.
