The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation intends to create a unified identification system for unmanned transport; it is planned to submit a roadmap to the Cabinet of Ministers in the next two weeks, the acting Minister of Transport Andrei Nikitin said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to him, the corresponding roadmap has already been developed.
In the next two weeks, we will submit it to the government, and, in principle, we understand that by the spring of next year it will be fully operational.
Nikitin noted that the system will operate on the basis of the Russian ERA-GLONASS development.
This will allow us to fully control the development of unmanned technologies and remove the restrictions that exist today due to the lack of control over them. That is, we will be able to remove those restrictions that exist.
Earlier, on June 7, Putin dismissed Roman Starovoit from the position of head of the Ministry of Transport of Russia. The decree was published on the official portal of legal information.
The reasons for the personnel decision are not specified. Starovoit headed the Ministry of Transport since May 2024. From September 2019, he served as the Governor of the Kursk Region.
