AvtoVAZ may launch the production of updated Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel cars with a unified chassis.
The launch of new models is scheduled for February 2026. Details about the technical characteristics and changes have not yet been disclosed.
According to available data, the unification of the chassis of the two SUVs may be aimed at simplifying the production process, increasing efficiency and reducing costs. The unification of the chassis will improve the compatibility of spare parts and simplify the maintenance of cars. At the same time, both models will retain their signature off-road qualities that have made Niva popular among outdoor enthusiasts.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the first batch of the updated Lada Niva Legend in khaki color came off the assembly line.
