MiG-31 fighter jet used the Kinzhal hypersonic missile

The missile's flight range is 2,000 km

A MiG-31 fighter jet of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) used the Kinzhal hypersonic complex. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Voevoda Speaks".

The Kinzhal missiles entered combat duty with the Russian Armed Forces in August 2022, but they became known back in 2018.

The munition is based on the 9M723 aeroballistic missile of the Iskander-M, a compact projectile that carries various types of warheads and can be launched at any initial speed and at any altitude of the carrier. As a result, engineers created an air missile system that has no analogues in the world.

The exact characteristics of the missile are classified. According to open sources, the range of the complex is 2,000 km, and the maximum speed of the missile is up to 10 times the speed of sound.

Earlier www1.ru reported that half-century-old T-62 tanks have returned to the Russian army.
