The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has proposed to double the fees for obtaining a driver's license from September 2025, and to increase the fee for issuing a vehicle passport by 1.5 times. The bill will be considered on June 30.
The fee for obtaining an old-style driver's license will increase to 4 thousand rubles, and for a new license - up to 6 thousand rubles. It is also planned to increase the cost of international rights from 1.6 thousand to 3.2 thousand rubles.
The vehicle passport will become 50% more expensive and will cost 1.2 thousand rubles. The fee for a vehicle registration certificate will also increase. On paper - from 500 to 1.5 thousand rubles, on plastic - from 1.5 thousand to 4.5 thousand rubles.
The state fee for issuing state license plates for a car will increase from 2 to 3 thousand rubles, and for registration plates for trailers and motorcycles - from 1.5 thousand to 2.25 thousand rubles. A certificate of conformity of a vehicle to safety requirements will increase from 1.5 to 4.5 thousand rubles.
The fee for permission to make changes to the design of a car will also increase - from 1 thousand to 3 thousand rubles. A document on admission to the transport of dangerous goods will now cost 2.25 thousand rubles instead of 1.5 thousand rubles.
