The Ministry of Finance of Russia and Sberbank have agreed to cooperate in the field of artificial intelligence to improve the budget process. The agreement was signed by the head of Sberbank, German Gref, and the Minister of Finance, Anton Siluanov.
The parties agreed on joint research in the field of budget management and analysis of the federal budget using modern AI technologies. The implementation of a multi-agent system based on GigaChat will accelerate budget approvals through the automation of data preparation and verification.
Generative AI will evaluate applications taking into account current projects and national priorities. However, the final decisions will remain with the experts of the Ministry of Finance.
Now we plan to expand the capabilities of artificial intelligence and reach a new level of digital cooperation. The ultimate goal of our work is to help improve operational processes and minimize errors.
The parties will also focus on developing a new approach to the preparation and control of the federal budget. This process will be flexible, based on thorough analysis, and focused on achieving specific results.
The pilot project with Sber on the implementation of an intelligent agent was successful. The model helped reduce the burden on employees of the Ministry of Finance during peak periods of the budget process in some cases by up to 70%.
Previously, major Russian banks began to implement automatic fund allocation systems, analyzing the financial behavior of clients. These services use artificial intelligence to predict regular payments and offer ready-made solutions, saving users time.
