The first Haval M6 crossover body was painted at the PSMA plant in Kaluga (leased by Avtomobilnye Tekhnologii LLC) as part of preparations for small-node assembly with full welding and painting. The paint shop has undergone a complete modernization for the new project, the details of which are not disclosed.
Earlier, in February 2025, large-node assembly of the model started here. The transition to a full production cycle is scheduled to be completed in the second half of the year.
The Haval M6 appeared on the Russian market in the summer of 2023, initially supplied from China, then test assembly was launched in the Tula region. Later, production was moved to Kaluga.
The front-wheel drive crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 143 hp and a 6-speed manual or 7-speed robotic gearbox. In the five months of 2025, 10.4 thousand of these cars were sold on the Russian market - 25% less than in the same period of 2024.
