New short-range anti-aircraft guided missiles designed for the Pantsir complex have begun to enter the Russian troops. The ammunition significantly increases the effectiveness of protection against drone attacks, according to military analyst Igor Korotchenko.
The analyst clarified that one of the main advantages of the new missiles is the adaptation specifically for intercepting aircraft-type drones.
Another important advantage is the relatively low cost. Their mass production will be carried out.
Also, the use of new mini-missiles will increase the total ammunition load of one Pantsir anti-aircraft complex to 48 shells. Korotchenko also drew attention to the high speed of reloading such ammunition.
