Inter Global Game (IGG) plans to build a private cosmodrome in Russia. This was reported in the company's press service.
We plan to build a private cosmodrome that will provide access to space thanks to rockets and satellites developed and manufactured here. This launch complex will become a platform for the introduction of satellite technologies in the field of communications, remote sensing of the Earth, protection against natural disasters, water resources management, border protection and defense.
The new cosmodrome is necessary for the implementation of the Noy Space Technologies satellite constellation project, within the framework of which it is planned to launch more than 80 satellites into low orbit. The location of the proposed construction of the cosmodrome has not yet been specified. There are also no details about the rockets and the timing of the deployment of the satellite constellation in orbit.
The Noy Space Technologies project aims to provide communications in remote regions of the Arctic and the Far East. It includes the introduction of satellite and radio relay communication systems for monitoring the ice situation on the Northern Sea Route and coordinating rescue services in areas where there is no ground infrastructure.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Roscosmos plans to build two new cosmodromes in other countries.
