Gazprom LNG Technologies LLC has postponed the creation of a small-tonnage liquefied natural gas (LNG) complex in the Komi Republic (Sosnogorsk) from 2025 to 2026. This was announced by the acting head of the region, Rostislav Goldshstein.
The capacity of the complex will be 1 ton per hour.
The project was planned to start in 2025. However, taking into account the changes in the terms of providing project financing by credit and financial organizations, the construction and timing of the project implementation have been tentatively postponed by one year.
According to him, in 2024, for the implementation of this project, the investor (a subsidiary of the Gazprom LNG Technologies group) was allocated a land plot in the city of Sosnogorsk without bidding for the implementation of a large-scale investment project. A contract for the development of design and estimate documentation for the construction of the LNG complex has already been concluded.
The press service of Gazprom LNG Technologies confirmed the postponement of the LNG complex implementation. Negotiations are currently underway with partners to determine the parameters for launching the project. The final dates and investment volume will be determined after the completion of this work.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that LNG production will be adjusted for export terminals of China in Primorye.
