ИИ от NtechLab поможет москвичам находить потерянные на транспорте или в парках вещи

New AI-based video analytics system automatically detects forgotten items in public places

NtechLab, known for its developments in the field of computer vision, has presented a system capable of identifying lost items in real time. The algorithm analyzes images from surveillance cameras and identifies abandoned items from 20×20 cm in size – suitcases, backpacks, bags, wallets and other personal items.

A key feature of the technology is the ability to distinguish truly forgotten items from those that are temporarily unattended. To do this, the AI takes into account the length of time an object has been in one place, with individual time thresholds set for different locations (subways, train stations, parks).

A pilot project is already ready to launch in one of Moscow's parks, and in the future the system could be introduced in the subway, at railway stations and in airports. According to the developers, this will not only speed up the search for lost items, but also reduce the burden on security personnel.
