«Аэрофлот» планирует ввести МС-21 в эксплуатацию к концу 2026 года

New Russian Airliners Will Enter Routes After Completion of Tests and Improvements

The Aeroflot Group expects to receive the first serial MC-21 aircraft manufactured by the Yakovlev Corporation in the fourth quarter of 2026. This was stated by the airline's CEO, Sergey Alexandrovsky.

This is the very initial period, there will be a phase of such "childhood" diseases, which we, together with the manufacturer, will deal with.
Sergey Alexandrovsky, CEO of the airline

He also emphasized that Aeroflot's development strategy involves a significant increase in the share of Russian aircraft in the fleet by 2030.

The serial production of the MC-21 was originally planned for 2016, but the deadlines were repeatedly postponed due to technical improvements and changes in the supply of components. The airline expects to receive the first batch of 108 aircraft by 2030, and the second — almost the same volume — by 2033.
