Second high-speed "Valdai" hydrofoil for the Saratov region departed from Nizhny Novgorod

From July, the vessel of project 23180 will begin regular voyages on the Volga River from Saratov to Volsk

The second "Valdai" vessel, named "Saratov – Pyotr Stolypin," departed from Nizhny Novgorod to Balakovo, from where it will begin operating river passenger voyages in July on the route Saratov – Marks – Voskresenskoye – Volsk – Balakovo.

The first "Valdai", named after Yuri Gagarin, has been operating daily voyages between Balakovo and Saratov since the end of May. In total, the region will receive five such vessels — three more will arrive in 2025–2026.

The "Valdai 45R-4" type vessels of project 23180 were developed at the Central Design Bureau for SES named after R.E. Alekseev. They are designed to move at speeds up to 65 knots, have a displacement of 21.4 tons, a length of 21.3 meters, a width of 5.2 meters and a draft of 1.1 meters.
