The vessel of project 17041 was built at the Vyborg Shipyard

The Russian flag has been raised on the fishing trawler-processor "Kapitan Taran" (project 17041), which was built at the Vyborg Shipyard. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The trawler is designed for fishing cod, haddock, ocean perch, mackerel, and further processing of the catch on board. The factory's capacity is up to 100 tons of fish per day, with the possibility of preparing fish fillets, producing canned goods, and fish meal.

Main characteristics of project 17041: length — 80.4 m, width — 15.4 m, main engine power — 4640 kW, speed — 15 knots, crew — 46 people.

"Kapitan Taran" is the second of three vessels in the series, built by order of "Company LKT." The trawler's fishing trials will take place in the Norwegian Sea. Departure to the sea is expected on July 7-8.
