Мощнейшую вспышку класса Х зафиксировали на Солнце

Cataclysm entered the top 3 in power in 2025

At 02:50 Moscow time, a powerful X1.9 class flare occurred on the Sun, the third strongest event of the year on the star after the X2.7 (May 14) and X2.0 (February 23) flares. This was reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.

The flare occurred in active region No. 4114, which has remained a source of increased solar activity for several days. Earlier this week, an X1.2 flare was recorded in the same region.

Despite the proximity of the region to the Earth-Sun direction and the high power of the explosion, the plasma ejection went in a northern direction, bypassing the blue planet.

According to preliminary data, the impact of the event on Earth is practically excluded. The release of heavy charged particles that could damage spacecraft and satellites has not been registered.
