Россия построит новый золотой завод в Мали

The plant's gold processing capacity will be up to 200 metric tons per year

Russia has started construction of a gold production plant in Mali, according to the country's Minister of Economy and Finance, Alouseni Sanou.

The Russian company "Yadran" will participate in the project. The plant is named SOROMA-SA.

The enterprise will be controlled by the government of Mali, which will own 62% of the shares, while the remaining assets will belong to the Russian side.

The gold smelting plant will be built near Bamako airport on an area of 5 hectares. The expected capacity of the gold processing plant is up to 200 metric tons per year. This is four times the current gold production volume in Mali, which is 50 metric tons.

Sanou noted that the National Transitional Council of Mali approved the share distribution plan on June 12.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia will for the first time launch the production of power diode and transistor crystals based on silicon and silicon carbide.
